Big Tips for Big Hips
Fashion — By 88DB Knowledge on March 7, 2011 6:07 pmIt’s almost considered a taboo subject, but women with big hips have big problems working out ways to cover them up. All the more power to those that flaunt what they’ve got, but it’s no secret that many women prefer smaller hips, and do everything they can to cover up and slim down. It’s a daunting task to tone hips down as usually, that part of the body is the last to go in terms of toning up, so clothes are used to cover up and give the illusion of smaller hip sizes. Remember, it’s all about balance so tight pants are out. Nice fitting pants that are wide at the bottom are the way to go. For those that love skits, go for the popular a-line skirts. They are best for your hips because they start at the waist and widen towards the hips and they help add attention to the waist while detracting it and hiding the hips. It’s important to also note the fabric and color choices made in the clothes you wear. Stay away from horizontal stripes, bright colors and bloated fabrics. Instead use darker colors to hide big hips, a dark, loose fitting pair of pants or skirt work very well. What color tops doesn’t matter much, the lighter the better, but again, balance comes into the equation and by wearing something that’s not too tight will only help deter attention from the hips. It’s also about attention, so divert attention to other features like the head and shoulders. Wear loud necklaces that attract peoples attention, big flashy earrings help too. It really depends on how far you want to go to divert attention away from the hips. Generally though, remember that balance and attention points can cover up almost anything. Go look beautiful, have fun and get creative while doing so.
