4 Frozen Home-made Treats to Keep Your Dogs Cool

1. Frozen Chicken Treat
Which dog doesn’t love some good old chicken? Offer this to your dog to refresh it for another round of Frisbee!
Things you’ll need:
1 medium tub plain yoghurt (about 450 grams)
250ml water
1 chicken stock cube
How to:
Dissolve the cube in a pot of hot water. Mix the chicken stock and the yoghurt in a blender. Pour the mixture onto an ice tray and freeze it.
2. Frozen Peanut Butter-Yoghurt Mix
This high-protein treat is so delicious that your beloved pet would put two paws up!
Things you’ll need:
1 large tub plain yoghurt (about 950grams)
1 tub smooth peanut butter (about 340g)
How to:
Microwave the peanut butter till it is fully melted. Take it out of the oven, mix well with yoghurt. Pour the mixture into a muffin tray and freeze.
3. Cheesy Delights
This nutritious treat will satisfy your pooch’s cheese craving.
Things you’ll need:
120g non-fat cottage cheese
30g cheddar cheese
How to:
Fill an ice tray with cottage cheese, filling each space till the recommended water level. Next, place a small chunk of cheddar cheese in the centre of each square as a decoration, and freeze.
Note: Recommended serving is 1 cube for small to medium dogs, 2 for larger dogs. Not for dogs that are lactose-intolerant.
4. Easy Doggie Ice Cubes
The easiest of all recipes, this treat is perfect for dogs that’ll do whatever it takes to gnaw on an ice cube.
Things you’ll need:
1-2 cups low sodium chicken/beef stock
How to:
Pour the stock into an ice tray and freeze. Done!
