How to Prevent, or Fix, Sun Yellowed Nail Varnish
Beauty — By 88DB Knowledge on March 7, 2011 3:40 pmSummer is great. Hot. Fun. Lots more to do than winter. And what’s not to love about sandals, sun dresses, and tank tops. The weather’s great, everyone’s happy to be out of the house, and the beach is calling.
However, summer sun is not fun for your nails. Pale pink and beige nail varnish yellows quickly in the sun’s heat, and you end up with nails that look shabby.
If you’re clever, you’ll use a sunscreen for your nails (yes, they do sell them!) But if you’ve already fallen foul of yellowing, you can fix it.
Use a very fine nail block, and buff the top layer of the varnish away. Then, add a coat or two of clear nail laquer, and your manicure will look as good as new!
You could opt for a brighter shade in the first place, which is less likely to fade or yellow, and will get you in the holiday mood at the same time!

Secret tip #86: To avoid the issue altogether, avoid nail varnish completely, and use the buffing block to shine your nails naturally. They won’t be stained by varnish, and they’ll have a great, easy to maintain shine!
