However, foundation, like anything else, has a limited shelf life, and here’s how to tell if yours should be heading for the bin! Foundations, particularly cream and liquid foundations, have a shelf life of six to twelve months. Don’t just assume it’s going to be twelve though! Make a point of noticing the consistency and smell of the foundation. If it changes, you should not be using it! Most types of makeup contain chemicals and a range of other ingredients. These ingredients can go bad, and applying them on your skin can result in breakouts, rashes and more. Replace your foundation regularly and avoid the hassle and risk!
