Secrets of Using Color to Slim Down
Beauty, Fashion — By 88DB Knowledge on February 21, 2011 10:09 amIf you’re a little larger than the norm, whether you’re slightly curvy or plus sized and proud, chances are you’ve been hearing that black is slimming from time immemorial. The truth is though, that whether you look good in darker shades, or you’d rather choose a paler hue, there are some great ideas you can use to make color work for you.
The very first rule is to co-ordinate tops and bottoms. The reason for that is simple: when you have different color tops and bottoms, you visually but your body into two, which will make you look wider – not what you’re going for!
A suit is a great choice for this, and if you want to add a pop of color, and attract attention to your face, then adding a bright blouse or shirt is a great idea.

Secret tip #194: Invest in a few long, slim line cardigans and coats. That way, even with a regular outfit, you can create a long, single color line, that will elongate and slim down your frame.
